Ham Shacks On The Net?

Why not? Everyone is getting on the 'Net these days and there's no reason for you NOT to be on there also. Instead of telling everyone your information is good on QRZ.COM why not go one step further and tell them your information is on YOUR web site?

Sure you can do it yourself but do you want to work on HTML or work DX? Let us put up a simple web site for you on the 'Net so you can post pictures of your shack, antennas, DXpeditions, lighthouse activations and so on the list goes.

So now you are asking yourself why you should even bother putting your amateur radio related materials online. For one, they tend to inspire others. Think about it like this, you post a QSL or certificate online that others may have yet to hear about. Something about your QSL or certificate inspires them to look further into it and then they too begin to work for the same results. So you have inspired them to work for a QSL or an award and you also help the station issuing the QSL or group awarding the certificate.

There will be some that say it is egotistical to post your special items on the web for everyone to see. Well maybe. But think about this, having them all online allows you to look at them anytime and anywhere you want. This scenario is much better than pulling them out of storage and handling them all the time. Another benefit is that you might not be in your shack when you are discussing a certain QSL or certificate that you received, all you need to do is hop on the Internet and pull up your web site.
